Facilities
The BYU Rugby program boasts some of the best facilities in the country. With an indoor training facility at their disposal and one of the premier home-field-advantage venues for college rugby being the Cougars’ South Field Stadium, the BYU Rugby program consistently offers fans and players the best rugby experience in the country.

South Field

The rugby program currently holds the South Field attendance record of over 3,800 dating March 27, 2009 for the ESPN National Guard Game of the Week against the University of Utah. Future development plans for South Field include locker rooms, press box atop stadium and other amenities. South Field is fully wired for TV and other broadcast capabilities.
Indoor Practice Facility (IPF)

Playing Surface: Field Turf
Use: Training venue for rugby team during winter months between October to February.

Training Room: The rugby program’s full service training room is also located in the IPF complete with an ice tub, industrial ice machine, 6 physio tables, and other exercise, medical & rehabilitation equipment necessary to care for the players. The training room is consistently staffed with trainers and medical staff who attend to the players before, during and after training session.
Features: Arched roof, two fields, retractable goal posts on each end and 40 yard long & 20 yard wide sideline staging area for drills and individual preparation. Four video platforms located 40 feet above the playing surface offer great video analysis opportunities.
Strength & Conditioning Facility

Details: A state-of-the-art strength and conditioning center with nearly 10,000 feet of working space that ranks among the nation’s best. The center features 106 stations to accommodate both female and male athletes. BYU’s well-structured strength and conditioning program is playing an increasingly vital role in the success of its collegiate athletic programs.
The primary goal of the BYU program is to keep athletes healthy and prepared for competition by reducing their susceptibility to injury. BYU’s strength and conditioning staff has experienced excellent results through its computer-analyzed combination of a strict weight and conditioning program, a carefully planned diet and sufficient rest.
Helaman Field
Location: Immediately South of Lavell Edwards Stadium (See: http://map.byu.edu for details and click on #42)
Playing Surface: Grass, full rugby field dimensions
Use: Training venue for rugby team for fall and spring months.
Details: Former home-field of BYU Rugby team before move to South Field in 2009. Currently used only for training during non-winter months. Full-sized rugby pitch with all of the training equipment afforded the rugby program at BYU.
